Bigger things to spend your CDC Vouchers on, that are Super-Super Worth it!

By now, most of us should already know that Singapore households can claim their $500 CDC Vouchers! This is our Government’s aid in tackling the GST increment in nationwide. Hearsay, some of us even forget they had it till the last quarter of 2023 for the previous batch of CDC Vouchers. So let's not waste these vouchers this time round.

Group of people in Chinatown. Shopping.

Here are great tips on where you can use your CDC vouchers:

1) Supermarkets - The vouchers are split 50-50 - $250 being the Supermarket Vouchers. This could help with, at most, 1 month supply of grocery spending depending on the number of household members. These are the go-to places for those who cooks at home frequently. And to be frank, though the temptation is real, why spend our money buying groceries in JB when you can spend here using our CDC vouchers. Just for now.

2) Restaurants or F&B(mainly hawkers): For the upcoming Chinese New Year Reunion Dinner, you can plan and have a look at which place allows you to use your CDC Vouchers. It could be used for birthdays or just a "more than average" feast to enjoy with your loved ones. If each feast is a $100, this is worth 2 and a half special feasts. Frankly, food is important but good food is subjective. Spend wisely!

3) Hardware and Furniture: It's time to upgrade and maintain the house! Put up some new pics, new quotes and improve the aesthetics of your home. New Year, New Look, New Feel. It's definitely not enough for a set of sofa or dining table, but if you need it, go treat yourself. Furniture such as sofa, dining table and mattresses usually last more than 2 or 3 years. Maybe Atome helps more in this case too, on top of your CDC vouchers.

4) Optical Shops and Dental Clinics: This could be the best value-to-price ratio for your child. Just as you remember the importance of brushing your teeth in the morning and at night, we need to maintain our eyes at least once a year to keep us going for the whole year. Seeing the up and coming resolve to tackle myopia growth with myopia control lenses(it's quite an investment), do check with your optometrist what payment methods they accept as it could be in the range of $500-$600 for the better ones. Coupled with Baby Bonus and CDAC Vouchers, you can also use CDC vouchers to tackle myopia for your children. You could be forking out no cash! If all goes well, that pair of glasses can last him for more than a year.

Overall, do expect price increment in many things this year so we hope to spend on products that matter in the long run. It's better to spend it on something rather than to forget about spending it. If this article convinces you to claim your vouchers, share it with your friends!
